Able to do fabric heart valentine cards for my older son Brandon to preschool. Did some little knitting, some sewing... wish I can do more. With work, freelance, home, kids, I think that's quite a lot done.
I am joining Heather Bailey's March of the Tools . This sounds fun. There are many tools that make your life easier, but as a crafter and graphic designer. These are the two tools so far that I can't live without when doing crafting or design. E-xacto knife is an essential tool for creating mock-ups. I own this knife for 12+ years. My newest tool is the Ultra ShapeXpress. It's easy to use and it's very practical tool. Cuts any shapes in paper. Also, I read that cuts in fabrics? I have to see for myself. I have to try that yet. A new addition to March of the Tools. Still not too late!: A trimmer from Fiskars. Very useful, practical, sharp and a time saver. For heavy duty use, see cutters from Carl. Found here . These are the newest versions I made. They are my newest companions. It only take me 2-3 hours to create one, but with full time work and 2 boys... only late nights I can find some time to sit down and star cutting the many small triangles in different felt colors. Then... the rest is fun! A family :)...Yes! I am one of the winners for submitting these owls to a contest called "Calling all crafters" at martha stewart web site... www.marthastewart.com/photogallery/your-best-handmade-cre... More owls... more flat cards.... I can't get enough. See new items posted on my little shop.
