Hi there, Kangaroopals! Love your site. Are the magnets done with specific glass gems? I've used the flat glass "marbles" at the craft store and made them without pics before, and I love yours. Do the pics have an adhesive on the front?
I also use the X-acto and mat alot. When I was making up ads at a newspaper, I couldn't live without my X-acto!
I used glass gems. These gems are clear so it shows thru. Earlier, I bought some in the craft stores and does not work well. The photo was blur and cloudy. I found the clear ones here: http://www.wholesalersusainc.com/game-gems-clear-noniridized-1719mm-p-1792.html.
I use a silicon glue to stick the picture to the gem. You can find in the craft stores. They are so many. Chose the most appropriate for you. Hope this helps.
I am joining Heather Bailey's March of the Tools . This sounds fun. There are many tools that make your life easier, but as a crafter and graphic designer. These are the two tools so far that I can't live without when doing crafting or design. E-xacto knife is an essential tool for creating mock-ups. I own this knife for 12+ years. My newest tool is the Ultra ShapeXpress. It's easy to use and it's very practical tool. Cuts any shapes in paper. Also, I read that cuts in fabrics? I have to see for myself. I have to try that yet. A new addition to March of the Tools. Still not too late!: A trimmer from Fiskars. Very useful, practical, sharp and a time saver. For heavy duty use, see cutters from Carl. Found here . Heavy duty rotary cutter Rotary Trimmer exacto knife Did some egg shape cards The Ultra ShapeXpress Tags for my son's birthday
Postcards and note cards featuring my own creation of the mini felted owls. Gathered together for a snap shop... now here for you. Available at my little studio here . Set of postcards owls... having fun together. owls... friendship
